Sex offender charged with rape
Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Timothy Falgout, 84, of Larose for two counts of first degree rape on Friday. September 28, 2018.
In late July 2018. juvenile detectives began investigating Falgout, a registered sex offender, after learning of possible sexual abused a female child Through further investigation, detectives learned Falgout allegedly forcefully raped two girls an mare thaw ODE occasion Detectives then obtained warrants for his arrest.
On Friday, detectives made contact with Falgout. He was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center cm the warrants for two counts of First Degree Rape. His bond is set at $500,000.
Due to the nature of the allegations, no further information will be released on these crimes.
Falgout is a registered sex offender due to a 2004 conviction for Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.
Suspect held 00 burglary charges
The Houma Police Department began investigating a string of burglaries in mid September as the suspect was forcing entry into convenience stores on the Eastside of Houma On each burglary the suspect would make entry by breaking the window of the business. Upon moving entry he would steal cigarettes and alcohol to include a television and DVD player on one occasion. After each burglary be would flee the area and sell the stolen property to individuals in the neighborhood.
On September 23th the suspect was located by the Houma Police Department uniform patrol division and identified as Keith Jones 51 years of age, Baker Drive, Houma. Keith was linked to five other burglaries which occurred during the above mention time frame. As a result of the investigation he was charged with a total of six (6) counts of simple burglary, Keith was transported to the Terrebonne parish jail where he was booked and housed.
