CUT OFF WOMAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES
A 38-year-old Cut Off woman is in custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office on a long list of drug charges.
Narcotics agents were investigating Trudy Gremillion, 38, of Cut Off, for possible distribution of narcotics.
At around 8 p.m. on Sept. 4, agents executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home on West 59th Street in Cut Off.
Upon arrival, authorities made contact with the suspect and conducted the search, which yielded 67.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 8.3 grams of suspected marijuana and 2.3 grams of suspected heroin, as well as Klonopin and Xanax pills and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities also discovered more than $1,200 in cash on the scene.
Gremillion was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin, as well as possession of Alprazolam, Clonazepam and drug paraphernalia.
Bond is set at $171,000.
SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR BREAKING INTO COIN MACHINES
Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue announced the arrest of Kardell Smith (B/M, 43). of Thibodaux, La for Criminal Trespass. Theft and Miarep-resentation During Booking.
On Friday. September 7, 2018, at approximately 3:57 a.m. a Thibodaux Police Officer patrolling the 400 Block of St. Mary Street, observed a subject later identified as Kardell Smith digging inside a coin operated device located at a business.
Upon approaching Smith, he continued to rummage through the machine, while advising the officer that he had permission to be there from the owner. Based on the officer’s obvious suspicion and knowledge of previous breakins and damage to the same coin operated machines. Smith was detained. Smith was found to be in possession of a large amount of coins.
The business owner later confirmed that no one had permission to the on the property or permission to tamper with any of the coin operated machines. Smith was then arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center, where he refused to cooperate during booking.
Smith was charged accordingly and awaits bond to be set.
