December 1, 2016Bourg native, Gators grad, makes impact in Bayou Classic
A South Terrebonne High School graduate made an impact on this weekend’s Bayou Classic football game.
Former Gator and current Southern long snapper David-Michael Carrell tossed all his snaps with ease during the game, which Grambling won to clinch a spot in the SWAC Championship Game.
But Carrell had an impact in the game to help Southern.
He successfully got down the field on a punt play, then recovered a fumble. See a feature story on Carrell next week.
Arceneaux, Laiche, highlight Colonels honorees
Nicholls standouts Chandler Arceneaux and Sully Laiche were named First-Team All-Southland Conference this past week, two of 10 Colonels honored for their efforts in the 2016 season.
