June 21, 2016BCF grant ceremony set for tomorrow
The Bayou Community Foundation will present more than $190,000 in grants to 26 nonprofits in Lafourche and Terrebonne at 10 a.m. tomorrow. The grants will fund programs for mental health, food and medicine for the poor and elderly, workforce development, education and support programs and coastal preservation. The ceremony will be held at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library in Houma and is open to the public.
BTNEP on TV episode
The Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program will be highlighted on “Flip My Food” — a TV program that aims to make delicious food dishes healthier.
The episode featuring BTNEP will air on June 27 and then also either on July 2 or July 3. The show will be played on Fox 8.
During the episode, famous Chef Jeff Henderson tours the facility and lends kind words and support to BTNEP’s contributions.
