Houma native Sumar Leslie is continuing to tear through Australia.
The local pro basketball player won the Big V’s Blue Carpet Award for the second-straight week, an honor given to the country’s top pro players in a given week.
Leslie has been on a tear.
She scored 26 points on Saturday night to help Werribee win and improve to 4-0 on the season.
At press-time, she is currently leading Australia’s Division I in scoring, averaging more than 24 points per game.
She also ranks first in the league in steals.
While Leslie is dominating on the court, Werribee is dominating in the standings.
The Devs are unblemished in four games, which already puts the team past last year’s win total for the entire 2016 season.
