Weekend Roundup: November 8-10
November 6, 2024The Lafourche Education Foundation (LEF) is excited to announce the recipients of the 2024 New Teacher Grants, awarded to 39 new educators across 19 Lafourche Parish School District schools.
Each recipient will receive $250 in classroom supplies, helping to establish well-equipped and welcoming classrooms for their students. This support, made possible by proceeds from the Louisiana King Cake Festival, underscores LEF’s commitment to nurturing new teachers as they begin their impactful journey in Lafourche Parish.
“Supporting new teachers is essential to building strong educational foundations for our students. These grants are a tangible way to make sure our educators feel prepared and valued,” said Dr. Mary Braud, President of the LEF. “This is Louisiana King Cake Fest dollars at work, directly impacting our classrooms and community by empowering our teachers and enriching the student experience.”
