Nicholls was funded $146,797 to enable Dr. Ramaraj Boopathy and his team to investigate the anaerobic digestion of sugarcane bagasse, a prevalent agricultural residue in Louisiana with the significant potential for producing sustainable hydrogen and methane.

Raven Palmer, Kozar’s longtime friend, said, “Chef Kozar was a champion of education. His passion and dedication to the John Folse Culinary Program and creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all students to learn and thrive will ensure that his legacy continues to make the world a better place for years to come.”

The Colonels welcomed a total of 12 offensive players, 10 on defense, three special teamers, and two athletes. Nicholls signed 18 from high school, eight former FBS players and one junior college transfer. 

"The event will be more social and engaging, introducing a refreshed dining service and shifting to cocktail attire for a more relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. We’re excited to welcome everyone back for an unforgettable evening celebrating the accomplishments of the Nicholls family,” said Paige Pierce, director of Nicholls Alumni Federation.
