In honor of Veterans Day, two branches of the Lafourche Parish Public Library are hosting events to celebrate and thank local veterans and their families for their service. The Thibodaux Branch Library will kick off the commemorations with a Veterans breakfast on November 4, while the Lockport Branch Library will follow up with a Veterans social on November 7. Both gatherings are free and open to the public, offering the community a meaningful opportunity to express gratitude.

The annual Veterans breakfast at Thibodaux Branch Library, located at 705 W. Fifth Street, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Veterans and their spouses can enjoy a hot breakfast, provided by the Thibodaux Friends of the Library, while supplies last. Guests will also have a chance to win door prizes generously donated by local residents and businesses.

A few days later, the Lockport Branch Library, at 720 Crescent Avenue, will host a Veterans social at 2:30 p.m. on November 7. Sponsored by the Lockport Friends of the Library, this event invites veterans and their families to enjoy refreshments, share stories, and browse photos from their time in service, creating a supportive space to connect with one another.

These annual events not only celebrate veterans but also foster community spirit and support for those who have served.
