NHC issues first advisory on Potential Tropical Storm 18
November 3, 2024The Terrebonne Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness issued the following on Sunday, November 3, at 1:39 p.m.:
Coastal Flood Watch issued November 3 at 1:39 p.m. CST until November 5 at 6:00 a.m. CST by NWS New Orleans, LA.
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding of around 1 to 1.5 feet above normally dry ground. For the Coastal Flood Watch, moderate coastal flooding of up to 2.5 feet above normally dry ground.
WHERE
In Louisiana, Lower Terrebonne, Lower Lafourche, Coastal Jefferson Parish, Lower Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard, Southeast St. Tammany and Eastern Orleans Parishes. In Mississippi, Southern Hancock County.
WHEN
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 6 PM CST Monday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Monday evening through late Monday night.
IMPACTS
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. For the Coastal Flood Watch, low lying property including parks, lots and ground-level storage may be inundated. Some roads may be closed.
