Bessie Bertha Crochet Falgout, 80, a native of Montegut, La., and a resident of Bourg, La., died Wednesday, April 2, at 1:50 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Kerry Falgout of Shreveport, La., Cullen Falgout of Oklahoma City, Ok., and Jason Falgout and wife, Sandy, of Houma; daughters, Karen Rivette of Houma and Ella Rae Jansen and husband, Phil, of Jacksonville, Fl.; brother, Miller Crochet of Chauvin, La.; sisters, Regina Olivier, Lucille Deroche of Houma and Enola Rogers of Cut Off, La.; grandchildren, Donette Chaisson, Chad Falgout, Dan Rivette, Tandy Armstrong, Kamala Sons, Megan Falgout and Zachary Falgout; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Falgout; her parents, Evince Crochet and Lorenza Ledet Crochet; brothers, John Crochet, Elmore Crochet and Leo Crochet; and sisters, Doris Peltier and Marian Crochet.
She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion and Ladies Altar Society. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at St. Ann Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
