Brandon Nathan Smith, 23, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, July 1.

He is survived by his parents, Gary M. Smith Sr. and Debbie B. Trahan; step-mother, Debora Garcia Smith; brothers, Gary M. Smith Jr. and wife Ashley, and Cody M. Smith; sister, Candice S. Parsons and husband Kevin Parsons; paternal-grandfather, Elliot S. Smith Sr. of Houma; paternal-uncles, Elliott S. Smith Jr. of Lafayette, La., and Wayne C. Smith and Keith B. Smith of Houma; paternal-aunts, Linda Smith of Kenner, La., Arlene Kelley of Bayou Sorrel, La., and Leah Owens of Houma; maternal-grandmother, Ida Broussard of Shreveport, La.; maternal-uncles, Johnny Broussard of Houma, Dallas Broussard of Shreveport and Joseph Broussard of Houma; paternal-aunts, Annette Anderson of Shreveport and Janette Mattingly of Houma; godchild, Kayleigh Parsons; and nephew, Logan Smith.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Smith; and grandfather, Dallas Broussard.

He was a machinist with Enterprise Products and Services.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 2, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, at Chauvin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial at Terrebonne Memorial Park.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
