Elaine Chiasson Truxillo, 74, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Gheens, La., died Wednesday, January 7, at 3:54 a.m.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edwin Truxillo Sr.; sons, Edwin Jr. and wife Margaret, Steven and wife Mercedes, Farley and Damian Truxillo; brother, Tony Chiasson; sisters, Joyce Plaisance, Margaret Falgout and Lillian Johnson; 20 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddy and Lillian Chiasson; and son, Eddy Truxillo.
Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, gardening, fishing, playing bingo and crossword puzzles. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens. The family would like to give special thanks to Metro Preferred Home Care, Hospice of South Louisiana, Gulf States LTAC, Chateau Terrebonne and Terrebonne General Medical Center. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at Presbyterian Cemetery in Raceland.
