Irene Prestenbach, 98, a native of Kraemer, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Tuesday, October 21, at 6:40 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Irvin, Wilbert, Donald, Danny and Kevin Kraemer; daughters, Mary Folse and Kathleen Hebert; brother, Wilson “Joe” Prestenbach; sisters, Vivian Granier and Virge Kimbal; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kraemer; parents, Joe and Lillian K. Prestenbach; son, Murphy Kraemer; brothers, Jeffry and William Prestenbach; sisters, Bessie Rodrigue and Gertie Loup; and three grandchildren.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 23, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, October 24, at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland with burial in the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
