Irmenta Calloway, 89, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, June 27.
She is survived by her son, Royal Calloway and wife Audrey of Houma; daughters, Geraldine Brown, Irmenta Stovall, Cheryl C. Brown and husband Herbert, all of Houma, and Raishauna Calloway of Metairie, La.; sisters, Lucille Henry and husband Alvin, Helen D. Ward of Houma, and Gloria Craig of Los Angeles, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George David Calloway; parents, Washington Jr. and Florence Bolden Neville; brothers, Freddie Neville Sr., Edward Neville, Raymond Neville and Arthur Neville; sisters, Bessie Neville Calloway and Rosie Neville Mitchem; and grandparents, Washington Sr. and Octavia Theriot Neville, and Liddie and Jerry Bolden.
She was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, at Rock of Ages Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery.
