Mandy F. Verdin, 64, a native and resident of Pointe-aux-Chenes, La., died Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
Mrs. Verdin was a very devoted mother, grandma and friend. She enjoyed her job as a crabber, reading her Bible and books by her favorite author, Max Lucado. She was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Sidney Verdin; daughters, Grace (Joshua) Bergeron and Annie (Tommy) Hutchinson; sisters, Rose (Marcelin Sr.) Roussell, Annadell (Cleveland) Verdin and Arceline (Royce) Parfait; brothers, Lanis (Peggy) and Dudley (Julie) Foussell; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Billiot; father, Carl Foussell; daughter, Amanda Verdin; and son, Gary Verdin.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 5, and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Live Oak Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Bisland Cemetery. (Samart)
