Johnnie Alton McCormick, 77, a native of Vivian, LA and a resident of Houma, LA passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Danita Franklin McCormick; sons, Johnathan (Terese) and Benjamin (Betsy) McCormick; daughter, Kristi D. McCormick (Craig Tastet); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie A. McCormick and Robeline H. McCormick; son-in-law, Craig Tastet; brothers, Terrell Ross McCormick and Thomas Joe McCormick; and sister, Joyce Nell Steelman.
Johnnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino, and spending time with his family and friends. He retired from Dowell Schlumberger after many years of dedicated service. Johnnie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Vivian, LA at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
